Donor Recognition
Indiana University appreciates its supporters. Regardless of what form your gift to the Indiana University Foundation takes, it may qualify you for one of IU's donor regonition groups. The best reward for your contribution, of course, is the knowledge and satisfaction that you have made a difference in the lives of the individuals your gift touches. Nevertheless, the University wants to publicly thank its major donors and recognize them for their philanthropy. Below is one of the the University-wide recognition groups. In addition, the different schools may have their own donor societies.
President's Circle
The Presidents Circle honors the University's most generous benefactors, those who make irrevocable gifts at leadership levels. Lifetime giving of $100,000 or more qualifies a donor for inclusion in the Presidents Circle. One may also become a member if others donate $100,000 or more in his or her honor.
Appreciation and Recognition
If you decide to include a gift to Indiana University Foundation for the benefit of IU in your will, we invite and encourage you to let the Foundation know about your decision ahead of time, for several reasons. First, so you can complete a gift agreement and ensure that there will be no question as to how your gift will be used. Second, so that IU and the Foundation can make note of the gift as they plan for the future. And finally, so that we may recognize your generosity and show our appreciation, if you so desire, by including you in the roster of major donors to Indiana University.
